White County Airport (KMCX)
Townsend Aviation, Inc. proudly operates from the White County Airport.

The runway is ideally located for aerial application work in our customer base area.

This May 2012 we will once again be having our open house.  The dates this year are May 26th and 27th.  Event details are listed here:

Salute to the Veterans

After a very successful fly-in event in 2009 we wanted to plan another.  In 2010 we couldn't hold the event because of runway construction as we got an overlay and widening.  2011 we had some bad weather but a decent turnout for the circumstances.

Its that time of the year again for the Townsend Aviation open house and this year it will be on the 26th and 27th of May.  Starting at 8am and going til 5pm both days we will have a number of different things going on at the White County Airport in Monticello.  We will have some return visitors in American Huey 369 from Peru, Indiana; and the AC-47 gunship from the American Flight museum out of Topeka, Kansas.  We will have Dumbo's Elephant Ears on site serving sandwiches, snacks, and beverages.  Joining us for the first time this year are the "First Hounds," a sister unit of American Huey 369 that lives, eats, and breaths the Vietnam war lifestyle.  Come out and meet them as they educate you on everything from the clothing worn during that war to the weapons that were used.  This is a day to honor our veterans in the local area and meet the aviation community.  We welcome you to join us and look forward to meeting you!

Please come and join us, as it will be another great event that we are very much looking forward to.  Please let us know if you have and questions or comments.

We had our first annual open house the last week of May 2009. This year it was to honor our veterans and also give the public a look at our new terminal building. It was a great success and we look to have it again for years to come. To see some pictures go to our Photo Gallery! You can also check out the pictures that were taken by American Huey 369 on pages 156-158 of their 2009 gallery!

Look for the runway to be extended and widened in the next few years!
